Ski/Snowboard

Davos Klosters is a winter sports metropolis and an Eldorado for snowboard and ski fans from all over the world. The 56 high-performance transport systems open up the 307 km of well-groomed slopes of all levels of difficulty. Skiing has a long tradition in Davos. At the turn of the century, it was mainly the English - including Arthur Conan Doyle, the father of Sherlock Holmes - and a few locals who had a decisive influence on the beginnings of alpine skiing. The world's first T-bar ski lift opened on Bolgen in 1934, and part of it can still be admired today in the Winter Sports Museum in Davos. Davos did not only do pioneering work in alpine skiing, but also when it came to snowboarding; Davos was one of the first places to recognize the signs of the times and to focus on the sport that was still a trend at the time. Davos was already one of the snowboard hot spots at the beginning of the 90s and has consolidated its excellent reputation year after year.
